The largest airport in the Italian region of Umbria is the Umbria International Airport (Aeroporto Internazionale dell'Umbria).  It is located in Perugia, a short distance from Assisi.  The discount airline Ryanair offers scheduled flights to the Umbria airport from London.

Because Assisi is convenient located between Rome and Florence, many visitors find it more convenient to fly to those cities and catch a train to Assisi.
